For over two decades, the JCRC and the Indiana Civil Rights Commission have partnered to create the State of Indiana’s official Holocaust remembrance program, which takes place inside the Indiana Statehouse.  Every year, we hear from state dignitaries and a survivor or educator, conduct a candle lighting ceremony, and give individual Hoosiers the opportunity to publicly recite the names of victims of the Holocaust. Due to COVID-19, in April, we postponed the original date for the program. We decided it is important to offer the program all online. This means the program may look different from years past but it also allows us to be able to share this program to audiences normally not able to attend.
