22nd Annual State of Indiana Holocaust Remembrance Program
DUE TO COVID-19 THE STATE OF INDIANA HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE PROGRAM IS POSTPONED UNTIL NOVEMBER 2020
Monday, April 20, 2020, 12:00pm at the Indiana Statehouse
For over two decades, the JCRC and the Indiana Civil Rights Commission have partnered to create the State of Indiana’s official Holocaust remembrance program, which takes place inside the Indiana Statehouse. Every year, we hear from state dignitaries and a survivor or educator, conduct a candle lighting ceremony, and give individual Hoosiers the opportunity to publicly recite the names of victims of the Holocaust. In 2020, for the first time, the State of Indiana will give newly established awards to recognize individuals or organizations who show commitment to Holocaust remembrance and education, and use the lessons of the Holocaust to fight hate and bigotry, and promote respect and understanding. If you would like to read names of victims, please click the button below to sign up for a time slot.
