Our Commitment
The Indianapolis JCRC is committed to supporting Jewish parents as they navigate the unique challenges their children may face in K–12 education. This resource hub is designed to help families address issues of antisemitism, promote Jewish identity and inclusion, and strengthen connections with school communities. Here you will find practical tools, guidance, and support to advocate for your child, build meaningful relationships with educators, and ensure that Jewish students feel safe, supported, and proud in their schools.
Stop Hate In Schools: Reporting Tool
The Indianapolis JCRC is partnering with Stop Hate in Schools to report and track school-based incidents targeting Jewish students. When you submit a report the JCRC will immediately receive a copy and reach out to you for further assistance. Along with your submission to our reporting system please ensure that you are also reporting the incident to your school or school district through their preferred reporting mechanism.
When you report please be specific about what happened, including time and location. Also, please be objective (e.g., detail the verbal or written language used v. how those words may have been interpreted). Finally, if available, include supporting photographs, screenshots, emails and links to related, publicly-available information such as social media posts or press coverage.
Parents and Guardians Handbook
The JCRC Supporting Parents and Guardians Handbook is designed to equip you with the tools to support your child, recognize problematic behavior, and engage effectively with school personnel. Jewish students deserve a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment, and while federal and state laws prohibit discrimination, harassment, and bullying based on religion, ethnicity, or national origin, incidents of antisemitism—ranging from harmful stereotypes to overt harassment—still occur far too often. This handbook helps families navigate these challenges with confidence and clarity.

School Engagement Leaders Network

In response to rising antisemitism in schools, local families have made one thing clear: more must be done. This initiative is a direct response to that call. We’re seeking passionate volunteers to serve as School Engagement Leaders — trusted liaisons between the JCRC, school staff, and Jewish families. This role centers on relationship-building, cultural advocacy, and a shared commitment to affirming every student’s identity.
School Engagement Leaders will receive ongoing support from the JCRC, including sample messaging templates, policy briefings on key issues, and access to a peer network for shared learning and collaboration.
